Buenas, he visto esto en la página de Indiegogo:

No lo he leído entero pero parece que tiene buena pinta y nos podría venir bien si consiguen la financiación.

Yo después del chasco del GlucoWatch de hace unos años y hasta que no probé el Dexcom en primera persona, soy un escéptico total de los dispositivos, ojalá sea verdad y funcione estupendamente, pero hasta que no me lo cuenten unas cuantas personas de primera mano, no me creo ná de ná!

Pues les escribí un correo a estos de InfraVitals con varias dudas que le surgen a cualquiera y me respondieron muy rápido y sin venderme un producto milagroso. Os copio su respuesta (English) al pie.
No tienen muy claro cómo lo van a hacer. Seguramente, el sensor de glucosa sea como un anillo en el dedo (su ideal sería que fuera parte del smart watch, pero reconocen que para la primera versión está crudo)
Tampoco hablan de cuán fiable será. Quieren terminar pasando el examen de la
FDA, pero eso debe estar en sus sueños.
Que el sensor debe durar años.
Por ahora han conseguido más de $62000 de croud funding y yo he puesto mi granito de arena, porque no se pierde demasiado. Ya iré contando si consiguen sus metas (primera versión en el primer cuarto de 2015)
La técnica que emplean tiene muchos papers y publicaciones http://es.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Espectroscopia y lo difícil es filtrar bien la señal y obtener una buena muestra :-(.

Thank you for your interest. The sensor should last for years with no trouble. It is not a consumable part. The sensor will most likely be an external component that is attached to the finger and connected to the watch by a small wire. We are working to see if it can be used at the wrist but it seems that it is unlikely in the first generation device. In any case, it will be comfortable and easy to use. The accuracy of the sensor is currently not fully known since we have not selected a manufacturer. It will depend, in part, on what they can embed in one "package". The number of wavelengths that we can include will affect the accuracy. We hope to reach the ISO and FDA requirement for medical meters but this is not currently a medical meter and not designed to diagnose or treat any illness. Instead, this is a health and fitness product until we are able to create a device that the FDA will approve and it goes through rigorous trials. We are offering this device now because we will never be able to offer new types of devices like this if we do not create a community of users who support the concept. Again, the dimensions of the watch still have not been hard set. It will be comparable to other phone watches. We are working with our machinist now to produce a prototype that is very close to production. An estimate would be 1cm thick by 3cm by 4cm. It is relatively large for a watch, but we are confident that we will be able to reduce the size and weight in successive generations. The size is due to the need to have removable sdcard storage, micro sim card slot as well as the regular electronic board. We do plan to add multilingual support and will ship the device anyplace allowed by law. When we are prepared to ship, we will contact our international customers to get their preferred shipper and to ask for any additional fees that may be necessary.
